Our Trustees

At the heart of every major decision of the Blandin Foundation is passion for the health and strength of rural Minnesota communities, especially the Grand Rapids (our home) area. Entrusted by founder Charles K. Blandin to guide the foundation, to guide these decisions, is its board of trustees—community leaders and skilled decision-makers from throughout the Foundation’s home region and state.

“Each trustee brings to the Foundation’s work broad and deep passion and experience in areas critical to foundation work and to rural Minnesota,” says board chairman George Thompson, Rochester, Minn. “They also share a passion for the health and sustainability of the Foundation itself, knowing that every decision has future as well as current impact.”
