Dr. Kandace Creel Falcón

Kandace Creel Falcón, Ph.D. (she/they/their) is an interdisciplinary feminist scholar, writer, and visual artist. Their life’s passion grounds the power of narrative for social transformation. Born in Kansas and raised in New Mexico, they moved to Minnesota in 2004 to pursue their Doctoral degree in Feminist Studies at the University of Minnesota.

After nearly two decades in higher education teaching Women’s and Gender Studies and Ethnic Studies, she began making art. Drawn to multidisciplinary approaches bringing together painting, printmaking, fabric arts, and writing, Kandace strives to make sense of the world around them for positive social change. While not making art, she consults with corporate leadership, and trains public leaders, and non-profit organizational staff on gender and racial equity.
