Charles K. Blandin Foundation is a private Foundation based in Grand Rapids, Minn., that distributes funds for grants, scholarships, and operating programs. Created by C.K. Blandin, it is Minnesota’s largest rural-based and rural-focused foundation. The Foundation has distributed more than $292 million since it was founded in 1941.

Printed copies of the Foundation’s 990-PF (tax form) are available from the Foundation on request at a nominal cost by contacting Jean Lane, director of finances. Most nonprofits, including Blandin Foundation, post their 990-PF on the GuideStar website, where they can be downloaded in their entirety.
The Charles K. Blandin Residuary Trust files a separate 990-PF, but salient information about the trust is incorporated into the Foundation’s filing.The Foundation has an investment committee that informs the Residuary Trust and advises the Foundation’s Board. The members of the Foundation board and the corporate trustees are identified in the 990-PF.
