Director of Administrative Services
Since joining the Blandin Foundation in October 1986, Janet has held various positions. In 2005, she was named to the Foundation’s Senior Leadership Team, and currently serves as the Director of Administrative Services. In this position, she works closely with the President and the Board and serves in the corporate officer position of Assistant Secretary. She also directs and oversees the human resources, organizational development, board support, facilities and building usage functions of the organization. Along with the President and other members of the Senior Leadership Team, she contributes to organizational leadership, strategic planning and assessment efforts. Janet is passionate about supporting thriving, diverse and inclusive rural communities — rural communities where all residents can enjoy life-long learning, economic opportunity and embrace differences.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Janet held positions at the Itasca County Courthouse and Grand Rapids State Bank. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in management from St. Scholastica and an associates of applied science degree from Itasca Community College. A lifelong resident of the Itasca County area, Janet and her family live in rural Bovey.
