Alice Moren is a Trustee and former Board Chair of the Blandin Foundation, dedicated to advancing the Foundation’s vision for inclusive and equitable rural communities in Minnesota. With over 20 years of experience at KOOTASCA Community Action in Itasca County, Moren has led the Circles of Support initiative, fostering social connections across economic backgrounds and elevating the voices of low-income residents.
A licensed social worker with a master’s degree in counseling and psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School and a bachelor’s in social work from Bemidji State University, Moren is recognized for her commitment to challenging stereotypes about poverty and advocating for systemic change. Her facilitation of community dialogues has helped reduce stigma and division related to poverty, and she is known for protecting vulnerable voices and promoting inclusivity. In 2024, Moren was honored for her exceptional support of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Grand Rapids and throughout Minnesota.
