Basic financial information
- The Foundation has distributed more than $404 million since it was founded in 1941.
- For 2022, the combined assets of the Foundation, and the Charles K. Blandin Residuary Trust, from which the Foundation gets its funding, was $474 million.
- Grants in our local Grand Rapids/Itasca giving area total 74 percent. The minimum amount is 60 percent.
Tax forms and audited financial information
Annually, the Foundation files a 990-PF tax form and completes an audit, in accordance with accounting best practices.

Charles K. Blandin Residuary Trust financial reporting
The Charles K. Blandin Residuary Trust files a separate 990-PF tax form. Salient information about the trust also is incorporated into the Foundation’s tax form.
