Janae Moore
Human Resources Generalist
I grew up in rural Minnesota with fond memories of walking to school each day, knowing everyone in my class, participating in multiple sports, and being part of a community that truly looked out for one another. Those experiences shaped my appreciation for connection, belonging, and the strength of small communities.
After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, where I earned a degree in Health Care Administration. I went on to obtain my Nursing Home Administrator and Assisted Living Director licenses and spent the next 11 years working in administration and human resources within the nonprofit senior living sector in the Twin Cities. That experience deepened my passion for creating systems that helped people thrive in their work, so they could care for older adults.
I relocated from the Twin Cities to Grand Rapids with my husband, children, and our family dog—embracing the rural setting I’ve always envisioned for raising my family.
In my role as Human Resources Generalist at Blandin Foundation, I manage day-to-day HR operations, benefits administration, and staff processes to support a positive and efficient workplace experience for employees—so they can continue the important work they do every day.
I was drawn to the Blandin Foundation because of its deep focus on community and commitment to helping rural areas move forward.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, relaxing with a cup of coffee, practicing yoga, or going for a long walk or jog outside.
I look forward to many years of supporting Blandin Foundation employees and being part of this wonderful community here in Grand Rapids.
