Blandin leadership alum applies learning to community challenge
by Blandin Foundation Posted in Rural Capacity Building
It’s great to see the ways alumni of our Blandin Community Leadership programs utilize their learned to tackle community opportunities and challenges.
In a recent column, Dana Melius, a 1998 BCLP graduate from Sibley County, used a key principle from training to understand and talk about an issue in his community.
“I’m not taking sides on this one. Bust if there’s one thing I took away from previous training in the Blandin Foundation Community Leadership Program was the importance of both ‘process and product.’ Basically, both are equally important.”
He goes on to discuss a timely community issue involving the closure of a golf course. Read his column here.
