Jenkins joins Blandin Foundation in key finance role

GRAND RAPIDS, MINN. – Following a statewide search, Grand Rapids native Chris Jenkins, CPA, has been selected to join Blandin Foundation as director of finance and treasurer, effective later in March.  In this role, Jenkins will be responsible for Blandin Foundation’s overall financial management and serve as a member of the organization’s senior leadership team.

“Blandin Foundation has a strong history of excellent financial management, and we welcome Chris to this key role,” said Dr. Kathy Annette, president and CEO.  “With his strong experiences in non-profit finance and as an entrepreneur, we look forward to his contributions as we stand with rural Minnesota’s communities, especially the Grand Rapids and Itasca area, as they grow stronger.”

Jenkins is a graduate of Grand Rapids High School, Itasca Community College, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from National American University.  He has served Northland Counseling Center in Grand Rapids as its chief financial officer for the last several years, following founding his own public accounting firm in 2010. 

Jenkins is an alumnus of the 2009 Grand Rapids cohort of the Blandin Community Leadership Program and participated in the foundation’s Academy for Advancing Community.
