Linda Gibeau

Grants Program Officer – Small Communities

I have lived in rural Minnesota all my life. I grew up in the Calumet/Marble area on Minnesota’s Iron Range and presently live with my husband in Coleraine.  The family tradition carries through to my children as well, both of whom live in rural Minnesota.

My deep roots in small communities have given me a keen eye for projects that strengthen the social fabric and economies of these places. In addition to reviewing grant proposals from small towns across rural Minnesota, I work with the grants team, research officer and rural capacity building staff to inform and improve the Foundation’s grantmaking practices.

Prior to my current role, I was the Foundation’s grants manager and oversaw our scholarship program. I have a bachelor’s degree in business management from the College of St. Scholastica and a mini-MBA from the University of St. Thomas. Working for an organization, such as the Blandin Foundation, with a mission and vision for rural places has been an honor and privilege.
