I was born and raised in Minneapolis as the youngest of ten. As part of this “farm-sized” family, I learned the value of hard work and sharing and have fond memories of visiting my grandparents’ farm to harvest watermelons. I dream of living in a rural community someday, with mid-winter breaks in Mexico. For now, I enjoy nature through walks along Minnehaha Creek, sunsets over Lake Hiawatha, and mushroom hunting across Minnesota.
Joining Blandin Foundation in January 2025, and learning about its vision, mission, and values, I feel like I have arrived home. I am excited to apply my experience in nonprofit financial management to help Blandin Foundation build a diverse, equitable, and sustainable future for rural Minnesota.
My volunteer work—including building homes with President Carter in Puebla, preparing taxes for low-income seniors, and serving on advisory committees—has strengthened my belief in the power of giving. Currently, I serve as a volunteer treasurer for the Minnesota Mycological Society.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA license in Minnesota. As a lifelong learner, I have earned certificates ranging from communications and project management to systems design thinking and business analysis. In my free time, I enjoy learning about innovation, futurism, storytelling, and permaculture. My hands-on activities include gardening, cooking, traveling, home remodeling, and spending time with my husband, two sons, daughter-in-law, and grand puppy.
