Safe streets. Active and diverse leadership. Learning opportunities at all stages of life. Clean air. Active faith communities. Strong job market. Accessible healthcare. Welcoming spaces.
Separate, these are all bright spots in a community. Only together, though, do they give a holistic view of what it means to be a healthy community.
Each of these pieces represents one of the 9 Dimensions of a Healthy Community, a cornerstone in our Blandin Community Leadership Program.
In Rural Pulse 2016, a one-of-a-kind snapshot focused exclusively on the issues, trends and topics on the the mind of rural Minnesotans, we take a deeper look at the health of Minnesota communities by the 9 Dimensions. This is the first time these kind of reports have been generated in the 18-year history of the Rural Pulse.
