Learn: Red Wing continues to build robust tech economy
For more than a decade, community leaders in Red Wing have been making a tech-based economy a reality. School, health care and business leaders have worked together to plan, fund and create infrastructure networks and tools residents can use to weave online solutions into their daily lives, including creating Red Wing Ignite, a local tech-focused organization that leads the community’s tech initiatives.
For the past 2 years, Red Wing has participated in the Rural Innovation Network. Established by the Center on Rural Innovation, the network brought together mid-size rural communities across the nation to share local successes and work toward applying for federal funding for upcoming projects. This case study summarizes Red Wing’s work and learnings.
